It has been a couple of weeks since the launch of DANIEL COLDSTAR: THE RELIC WAR by Stel Pavlou. And, what a busy and fun week it was! In addition to Stel visiting Carson Elementary (link to blog post here), Stel stopped by various bookstores in Northern Colorado to make some impromptu signings. We then celebrated with the book launch party at the Tattered Cover in Littleton, CO.
On Tuesday, Nov. 7th Stel made a few surprise visits in the Denver area. He signed copies at the Barnes & Noble in Lone Tree, Aurora and the Colorado Blvd location in Denver. It was voting day and many Colorado schools were closed, meaning kids were in bookstores on a Tuesday morning! That made it all the more fun.
Then, on Saturday, Nov 11th, we had our launch party at the Tattered Cover at Aspen Grove. Stel was overwhelmed by the excitement and the big turnout from friends and new readers who had heard about the book. In addition to celebrating the launch of the book, Tattered Cover had graciously offered a fundraiser to help local school, Renaissance Elementary! Stel talked a little about his history in writing the book and how it finally came to fruition. He then read the first two chapters where he had the kids join in whenever the Overseers (one of the villians of the story) said, “Who disturbs?”, causing lots of excitement and giggles throughout the venue.
Then, it was time to dig in to some yummy treats and grab some DANIEL COLDSTAR book swag of buttons and bookmarks. On display were also some of the “relics” mentioned in the book.
Stel had a great time meeting up with so many people and signing their new copies. Some of the kids you see wearing DANIEL COLDSTAR t-shirts, were the very first readers of the book and were given honorary Truthseeker status that day. It was a fantastic party, with lots of excitement and joy. And we want to thank the Tattered Cover for hosting such a memorable event!
To end a very busy week, Stel had a signing at Barnes & Noble at the Citdel location in Colorado Springs. And then we quickly stopped by the Briargate location to sign a few more copies on the way home.
What a fulfilling and fun week of celebrations we had! Thanks to all the bookstore staff members who assisted and hosted Stel this week, and to all the friends who came out to join us. It is a week Stel will never forget. Thank you all for making it so special.
